To become a leading producer of quality Appaloosa Sport Horses registerable with the ApHC, and to progress as a training establishment recognized for teaching correct dressage basics to enhance any style of riding.
Rivendell Ranch is a small quiet facility hidden among the hills and trees. Our focus is on using and teaching correct dressage basics and theory which allows us to enhance the performance of horses and riders of any discipline. We have expanded our knowledge base to include trail and endurance riding due to the many nearby trails and competitions available in our area.

We at Rivendell Ranch love the Appaloosa though we work successfully with many other breeds. Our desire is to breed Appaloosas with the right temperment for the Family, Amateur, and Non-pro that have the conformation and athletic ability the Professionals will want to excel up the levels at any sporthorse discipline. Our horses are very friendly, willing, and learn quickly in addition to being competitive in the show ring.

Are there horses in Heaven?

  Revelation 19:11

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True.

Revelation 19:14

The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

God describes the horse to Job:
He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword.

The quiver rattles against his side, along with the flashing spear and lance.

In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.

At the blast of the trumpet he snorts, ”Aha!”

He catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of the commanders and the battle cry.

  Job 39:19-25

Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane?

Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting?

He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength, and charges into the fray.
